Righto! So, as you may be aware, we’ve been sitting on a finished album for a little over two months now. It’s called Two Player Game, and we’ve been unable to release it due to an unforeseen financial… transgression by a, now former, member of the Fatal Exception. The aforementioned album has 14 tracks. A few of those are from the EP A Greyscale Rainbow which was also never given a proper release. The repeat tracks have been reworked and heavily improved, in our opinion. Anyway, on to the point.

Matt and I have been doing an enormous amount of writing since the damnatio memoriae of our third member. Last week, I went through what we’ve got programmed and the lyrics that we have written for the songs that we’ve got programmed, and we’ve got a little more than half an album essentially finished, save for some minor structural rearrangement, you know, for flow and shit. Oh, and the recording of the vocals. What I’m trying to say here, is that we’re pretty much done with the old shit and just want to get it out there. Wherever “there” happens to be. The conduit for this out-getting will be iTunes, and that process should start sometime in the middle of this week. Wednesday looks most promising. This being our first time working with iTunes, I have no idea when that means the music will be available, but it will be there at some point.

The new sounds to which I referred in the previous paragraph are fresh. We’ve turned in a bit of a different direction than the other stuff we’ve put out. So far, we’ve used no video game hardware or hardware emulation. It’s all very exciting. Plus, there’s gonna be singing. That bit’s got me slightly terrified but we’ll see what happens.

TL;DR: Two Player Game out by the end of this month, come hell or high water. New stuff is different, but in a lush loveable way.

EDIT: I forgot. We have a show coming up on the 24th in Huntsville. I’ll make a more detailed post about that when I actually know details.
